Acute Rehabilitation Unit

Follow-up Care

To help patients achieve their fullest potentials once they leave the hospital, St. Anthony's Acute Rehabilitation offers post-discharge follow-up programs, including:

Amputee patient learns to use a rickshaw
  • Stroke Club
    Offered twice each month at St. Anthony’s, this member-driven club enables stroke survivors and caregivers to discuss experiences and challenges.
  • Stroke Panel
    New stroke survivors can ask questions and discuss concerns with experienced stroke survivors during these twice monthly sessions held on the Acute Rehab Unit.
  • In-Stride
    This prosthetic clinic, offered on the Acute Rehab Unit, provides information, assistance, prosthetic recommendations and support to amputees.
  • Orthotic Clinic
    People with orthotics needs (i.e., ankle-foot brace) receive follow-up care, orthotic recommendations and assessments during these clinics held on the Acute Rehab Unit.
  • Home Care Service
    Staff can help patients and families arrange for post-discharge in-home care.
