Help For Incontinence and Bladder Issues

Pelvic disorders such as prolapse and urinary incontinence can be inconvenient and embarrassing problems that may alter your lifestyle. They are common after childbirth and sometimes worsen with age. It is often not necessary to live with these conditions. Many therapies, both surgical and non-surgical, are available to treat these problems.

Treatments

St. Anthony's offers treatment for the following urinary and pelvic floor disorders:

  • Urge Incontinence or Overactive Bladder
  • Stress Incontinence
  • Vaginal Prolapse
  • Nocturia (nighttime voiding)
  • Vaginal Birth Related Injuries
  • Fistulas
  • Interstial Cystitis

The method of treatment depends on diagnostic results. Despite the high success rates, only one out of every 12 people affected seeks help for urinary incontinence. The three major categories of treatment are: behavioral, pharmacological and surgical.
