Radiation Oncologist John Bechtel, M.D., joins staff

John Bechtel, M.D., Radiation Oncologist

John Bechtel, M.D., a radiation oncologist, has joined the staff of St. Anthony's Medical Center.

Dr. Bechtel comes to St. Anthony's with 10 years of experience in radiation oncology. He is skilled in conformal 3-D radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy, image guided radiotherapy, stereotactic cranial and body radiosurgery, gynecologic high dose rate and low dose rate brachytherapy and MammoSite high dose rate brachytherapy.

Dr. Bechtel most recently practiced at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ken. as an assistant professor and assistant residency program director. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency in radiation oncology at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Dr. Bechtel and his wife, Rebecca, live in Creve Coeur with their two daughters.
