Patient Experience

St. Anthony's Medical Center is committed to providing extraordinary service from the patient’s perspective. That means not only providing superior care but also being attuned to patients’ emotional needs.

To measure patient satisfaction, surveys are mailed to patients asking them about their experiences. Survey results show St. Anthony's Medical Center does well when it comes to satisfying patients. But, we want to do better! By studying the results, we find ways to improve our service every day.

What is surveyed?

St. Anthony's Medical Center uses NRC Picker survey tools to ask patients to share their perception about their care, treatment and services. We ask questions like:

  1. Were the patient's specific needs and expectations met?
  2. How well the hospital met these needs and expectations?
  3. How can the hospital improve patient safety?
  4. Was pain management, when needed, effective?

St. Anthony's Medical Center also collects quarterly patient satisfaction data for:

  • inpatient services
  • outpatient services
  • ambulatory care
  • emergency department
  • urgent care centers
  • behavioral health
