Prevent IV-Catheter Infections

St. Anthony’s Infection Control Team received awards from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Missouri Department of Public Health for outstanding efforts in infection control.

These safety efforts include strict patient care guidelines and mandatory hand washing. These simple actions are shown to reduce bloodstream infection rates before and after handling intravenous fluids for any patient.
