Scholarship Programs

The Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation offers three scholarship programs to St. Anthony families through the generosity of the St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation and the Memmolo family:

The Norbert Siegfried Scholarship Program for Sons and Daughters

St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation established The Norbert Siegfried Scholarship for Sons and Daughters of Employees program in 2006 at the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation to help St. Anthony’s employees’ children realize the dream of a college education. Children of full time and regular part time employees who will demonstrate financial need at a Missouri four-year college or SIU are eligible to apply.

The St. Anthony’s Medical Center Foundation Academic Excellence Scholarship

Beginning in 2010, the Academic Excellence Scholarship was awarded to five children of St. Anthony’s employees who have achieved outstanding academic records and demonstrate the St. Anthony’s values of “excellence through teamwork and mutual respect” as well as “compassion and respect for all persons.” The award recipients may attend any Missouri four-year college or SIU campus.

Memmolo Memorial Scholarship

Rizziero and Asteria Memmolo established the Dr. Ciriaco “Jerry” Memmolo Memorial Scholarship at the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation in 2008 to perpetuate the memory of their son who was a general surgeon at St. Anthony’s Medical Center from 1997 until his death in a tragic car accident September 5, 2002 as he drove to St. Anthony’s. One $1,500 renewable scholarship is awarded annually to students who will demonstrate financial need while enrolled in a healthcare field of study. Employees and the children of employees of the Medical Center are eligible to apply.

The Community Foundation selects recipients and determines awards for all of its scholarship programs.
